7 patches coming on Tuesday from Microsoft

Ahh, it’s already that time of the month again.  No ladies, not that time of the month.  Patch Tuesday is nigh upon us, and you’ll have a slew of updates coming straight down the pipeline for your system from the fine folks at the Redmond Giant.

Tuesday’s release of 7 patches will fix four “critical” issues (don’t you love how they always put “critial” in quotation marks like that) in Windows and Office.  All four involve the ability to execute remote code in the software.  For those of you that don’t get what that means, it’s a fancy way of saying that there’s a security hole in the software that can allow someone else on another computer to execute an action on your computer.

Pretty scary, ain’t it?

So, make sure your system is up and running come Tuesday and get those updates installed.  And if your computer is attacked because you don’t, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.
