This week, we’re going to talk about being prepared for a computer crash, and how you can avoid losing your valuable data on your computer.
We’ve got several different options to talk about this week, that’s going to help you prevent losing that valuable data, and several ways that you can use different backup strategies to store that information and be ready, just in case your computer crashes or something happens, well, if your computer is stolen. If you use a laptop primarily and somebody decides that: "Hey, I need to have that laptop," you’ve, at least, got a backup of all that important data. Hopefully, you’ve got it secured on your laptop. If you need to do that, there’s lots of different file encryption tools, and maybe we’ll do a show about that here in a few weeks to go along with this.

At some point, your computer crashes, and what that means it is, yes, more than likely your hard drive became defective. It does happen; they do have a life span on them; they’re all kinds of reasons why a hard drive can fail, and honestly, there’s not a whole lot you can do about it. It’s just the way hard drives are; they’re not perfect pieces of equipment.
